Summer – 2017
Dear family members and friends of the North Sewickley Cemetery,
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a progress report on the cemetery.
- A website has been developed and is in use to provide information and list donors.
- A contract was secured with Mr. B’s to mow the cemetery at a very, very reasonable cost.
- A grant was received from Nalco Corporation to be used on improvements.
- Decorative fencing was secured from Veka Corporation and will be installed by volunteers, weather permitting.
- Twenty-five tons of gravel was purchased and spread in the parking lot. Plans continue on raising enough funds to improve the entrance driveway and parking lot.
- Direction signs were purchased and installed.
- Clean up day was held in May and was a success with six headstones raised and reset onto their foundations, five tons of dirt was purchased and used in various places in the cemetery and many trees and shrubs were trimmed and/or removed.
As you can see it’s been a busy year and none of it would have been possible without the support of our donors. The names of the North Sewickley Cemetery Company Board of Trustees for 2017 are as follows:
